Spring is here and it’s time to pick up your needle and create something amazing with some delicious fabrics and threads.

So after a bit of a break, I am thrilled to present my new embroidery pattern and kit. The ‘Embroidered Diamonds Scarf’ is just the tonic for spring days and it’s a versatile project to make and add to your wardrobe. When I first began to do embroidery, one of the first things I made was an embroidered wool scarf. I like things to be useful and pretty and this is definitely both. This pattern will work beautifully with linen and floral prints or wool and brushed cotton. Make your own unique scarf using the diamond templates …. stitch them in a row, scatter them, make flower formations and patterns with the diamond shape and then embroider them to co-ordinate with a favourite jumper or jacket. Colour them in one colour, colour them in lots of colours, make it modern… make it floral….make it vintage or make it geometric… the choice is yours and it is super fun to do. Suitable for a beginner or a well heeled stitcher you can make it as simple or as complicated as you like.

Initially I will have a limited number of kits using brightly coloured linen and the gorgeous Dutch Heritage Prints by Petra Prins and Nel Kooiman. The two colour ways will be Raspberry/Yellow floral and Blue/Burnt orange floral and the kits will come complete with some tiny buttons for embellishment and a selection of perle cotton threads as well as full instructions and some woven interfacing and all packaged in our lovely little signature boxes. Hop over to my Etsy shop here to see more details.
