JOURNAL 2025
Summertime
Still waiting to move to our new home, but hopefully it won’t be long now. I confess I am longing to see my sewing machines again - it will be a tearful reunion after 6 months, I feel! Meanwhile, I have been so enamoured with Kent at this time of year. It is a riot of colour; the hedgerows are teeming with life, the country lanes are laden with daisies and queen anne’s lace and the roses are starting to bloom around doorways. It is completely beautiful and thoroughly inspiring and I can’t wait to get my new sewing room set up. The beach, the cliff tops and the country lanes are making me love my new home - it’s a happy place to be.

When one of your children gets married, it is an emotional milestone in your life and this is a way to link the generations in a tangible way. It is just a simple gift, a way to preserve the past and carry it forward to the future. It is a family thing, a very personal gift and what’s more….she loved it…..
